Challenge
A grass runway needed to be reinforced to withstand the load from heavy aircraft without compromising its natural drainage or green appearance. The solution also needed to be installed quickly across a large area.
Solution
Terra-Grid E® 35 was installed on a runway measuring 1,100 metres in length and 15 metres in width. The project was completed in just two weeks.
Result
The result is a 16,500 m² reinforced grass runway capable of withstanding the load from heavy aircraft.
