Privacy Policy for Job Applicants
How Danrec A/S processes your personal data during recruitment.
In brief: We use your personal data to assess your application and carry out the recruitment process. Only relevant persons are given access, and information relating to unsuccessful applicants is generally deleted after six months.

2. Personal data and sources
We process the information you provide and the information generated during the recruitment process, such as your name, contact details, CV, application, photograph, education, experience, qualifications, salary expectations, interview notes and correspondence.
We may also obtain relevant information from publicly available professional profiles, a recruitment agency and references that you have provided or agreed that we may contact. We will inform you if we obtain information from other sources.
3. Purposes and legal basis
- We assess candidates and carry out the recruitment process on the basis of our legitimate interest in filling the position, pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
- Where the processing relates to steps taken prior to entering into a potential employment contract, Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR may also apply.
- We only process special categories of personal data, information relating to criminal offences or national identification numbers where this is necessary and there is a separate lawful basis for doing so. Please therefore do not provide such information unless specifically requested.
- If we wish to retain your application for other future vacancies, we will ask for your separate, freely given consent. Refusing to give consent will not affect the current recruitment process.
4. Who has access to your personal data?
Relevant managers, HR personnel and employees involved in the recruitment process may have access to your personal data. We may also use providers of IT services, recruitment systems, testing services or recruitment services. As a general rule, our service providers process personal data according to our instructions and under a data processing agreement. We will provide information about any testing providers or other significant recipients in connection with the specific recruitment process.
5. Retention
If you are not offered employment, we generally delete your application materials no later than six months after the recruitment process has been completed. Information may be retained for longer if this is necessary in connection with a specific legal claim. If you consent to having your information retained in a candidate database, we will specify a separate retention period and delete your information no later than the end of that period or when you withdraw your consent.
If you are employed, we will transfer the information necessary for the employment relationship to your personnel file. You will receive separate information about the processing of your personal data as an employee.
6. Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data or restriction of processing, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests.
