How Danrec A/S processes personal data about website visitors, customers, suppliers and newsletter recipients
In brief: We only use personal data for specific purposes, only share it when necessary, and do not retain it for longer than necessary. You can always contact us regarding your personal data.
1. Who is responsible?
Danrec A/S is the data controller for the processing activities described in this policy.

This policy does not apply to employees. Job applicants receive a separate privacy notice in connection with recruitment.
2. What do we use your personal data for?
When you use our website:
IP address, time of access, browser and device information, pages visited and technical log information.
To provide and protect the website, prevent misuse and troubleshoot errors.
Our legitimate interest in maintaining a secure and properly functioning website, Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
Technical logs are generally deleted or anonymised after 30 days, unless a security incident requires longer retention.
When you contact us or are a customer/supplier:
Name, workplace, contact details, correspondence, and information relating to quotations, orders, deliveries and payments.
To respond to enquiries, enter into and fulfil agreements, provide services and manage our business relationships.
Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR where processing is necessary for a contract with you, and otherwise our legitimate interest in operating and documenting our business under Article 6(1)(f). Accounting records are processed pursuant to Article 6(1)(c).
General correspondence is deleted when it is no longer necessary. Accounting records are retained for the current financial year plus five years. Information may be retained for longer if necessary in connection with a specific legal claim.
When you receive our newsletter – Mailchimp
Email address, your name if you provide it, the time of subscription and documentation of your subscription, as well as information about unsubscribing. If you have consented to measurement, we may also collect delivery, open and click data.
To send news and marketing communications, manage subscriptions and unsubscribes and – if you have consented – measure and improve our newsletter.
Your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, as well as the rules governing electronic marketing. You can withdraw your consent at any time using the unsubscribe link.
We use Mailchimp, provided by The Rocket Science Group LLC, part of the Intuit group, for distribution and administration of our newsletters.
We use the information until you unsubscribe. After that, we retain only the documentation and suppression information necessary to respect your unsubscribe request and document compliance with applicable rules.
Cookies, statistics and advertising
Cookie ID, IP address and information about your use of the website may be processed if you consent to statistics or marketing cookies.

3. Who has access to your personal data?
Only employees who need access for work-related purposes and relevant service providers are given access. As a general rule, our service providers process personal data according to our instructions and under a data processing agreement.
- Providers of hosting, IT operations, email and security services
- Mailchimp/Intuit for newsletters
- Google, if you have consented to the relevant statistics or marketing cookies
- Advisers, public authorities or others where required by law or necessary in connection with a specific legal claim
4. Transfers outside the EU/EEA
Mailchimp and Google may process personal data in the United States or other countries outside the EU/EEA. When personal data is transferred, we use a valid transfer mechanism, such as the European Commission’s adequacy decision for companies that are actively certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. You can contact us for information about the relevant safeguards.
5. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data, restriction of processing, or receive a copy of your data. You may object to processing based on our legitimate interests and always have the right to object to direct marketing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

6. Complaints
You can lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark, dt@datatilsynet.dk, www.datatilsynet.dk. We hope that you will contact us first so that we have an opportunity to assist you.
7. Changes
We update this policy when our processing activities change. In the event of significant changes, we will provide appropriate notice before the changes take effect.
